Our project is a short animation about the value of letting go of frustrations. This narrative is told through two main characters -- a ninja and a raccoon. The story starts in the calm garden of the ninja, which is suddenly interrupted by a pesky raccoon who steals his food. What follows is a messy chase scene between the two around the garden, with the ninja determined to take revenge and kill the raccoon. The ninja gets his food back, but is faced with the view of his ruined garden -- all because he couldn't just let the raccoon go.

We chose these characters because we wanted to explore designs for both animals and humans. We also wanted to focus on a more traditional Japanese setting and find reference images from historical Japanese artifacts for the animations.
